While digital cinematography changed the way movies are shot, new editing software products reduced the time and made it more convenient for movie makers to complete the film. More than a decade has passed since the release of the first movie which used digital cinematography and a lot has happened in the sector. Today, it is necessary for movie making aspirants to have an idea about the latest technological tools used in the domain. VFX is used in most of the movies that are released today. The technique allows movie makers to create new environments through use of software tools. There are many big companies that work on developing new products that can deliver better outputs. There is a pressing need for aspiring students to be aware of the fundamentals of the domain along with knowledge and skills in the tools that are in use in the industry.
